Complaints or objections against IBKI decisions can be submitted via the decision aid.

While submitting, we indicate what we expect from you.

In short, it comes down to this:

Complaints

Once you have submitted the complaint via the decision aid, you'll receive a confirmation email containing the complaint number and the latest date by which you can expect a response. This is usually within 3 weeks but depends on the nature of the complaint.

Your complaint will be handled by an IBKI employee who was not involved in the event you are complaining about. This provides a new and independent view of the event.

Objections

Submit an objection within 6 weeks of a decision by IBKI via the decision aid. As soon as you have submitted the objection, you'll receive a confirmation email.

Your objection is handled by an independent objection committee. Neither the chairman nor its members are connected to IBKI.

First we will check whether the objection can be heard. If so, you will be invited to a hearing at which IBKI will also be present. Afterwards, the objection committee issues a concise hearing report and a written recommendation. Both are sent to you. Based on this advice, IBKI will make a decision.
